Beauty Review: Justine

Justine asked me to review their new range called A-Firm, Time Reversal. I tried out the serum and the day cream, which has a 25SPF in it. I decided to try it and add it to my current skincare routine which consists of lots of actives such as vitamin C and retinol. I’ve really learned what works and doesn’t work with my skin, but finding an affordable day cream was an issue. I have combination to dry skin, so moisturisers I usually used would absorb too quickly or even dry my skin out. I can’t live without my actives, but I am genuinely impressed with how moisturising the A-Firm Day Cream is. It smells beautiful and gives your skin a gorgeous glow that lasts all day while protecting it from the sun. It also smoothed my skin out and minimised my pores and fine lines (probably little dehydration lines) so I’m very happy with it.

The serum works well with the moisturizer and contains celavive which helps maintain a healthy-looking skin and is said to boost collagen & elastin for smoother skin.

I’m 34 and really chasing the clock with my skin right now, feeding it as much nutrients as I can, so I wanted to share what I generally do to look after it. On top of good quality products with active ingredients, I invest in really good serums (you can have more than one!) and juggle them in my day or night routine. I find retinol & vitamin c to be incredibly effective and even take vita c supplements every day. I also enjoy taking milk thistle, omega 3, 6 & 9, zinc and folic acid. I find that that combination works beautifully for your skin and coupled with loads of water – really makes your skin look more youthful, plump and fresh. Exfoliating at least twice a week is so important, and I also invest in treatments such as Dermapen (microneedling), regular facials and light peels.

Finding the right day cream and SPF for your skin is such a relief, so if you want a good 2-in-1 option then the Justine A-Firm Time Reversal could be perfect for you. You can check out the Day Cream here (R299.00) and the serum is here (R329.00)

Here is a short video where I give my full review on these two products. Let me know if you have any questions xxx
